John Wick is a series of films that star Keanu Reeves as John Wick, a retired hitman who comes out of retirement to seek vengeance for the death of his dog. The first film was released in 2014 and received positive reviews from critics, who praised its stylish action sequences and humor. The second film was released in 2017 and also received positive reviews from critics, who praised its choreography and direction.\
The fourth installment, titled John Wick: Chapter 4 – Parabellum (or simply John Wick 4), is scheduled for release on May 21st 2020; however there have been no official announcements about whether this will be the final entry in the franchise or not yet so fans should expect an additional sequel if all goes well with this latest entry into cinema history!
The Story So Far:
John Wick is on the run. After killing Santino D’Antonio, John has been declared “excommunicado” by The Continental and thus must go into hiding. Meanwhile, Winston (Ian McShane) has put out a $14 million bounty on his head–and every assassin in New York City wants to collect it.\
John’s only hope of staying alive is to find out who betrayed him so he can exact revenge on them as well as clear his name with The Continental’s High Table–the governing council that oversees all assassins in their world.
Returning Characters:
The film is set to feature some returning characters, including Laurence Fishburne and Ian McShane. There’s also a chance we’ll see some new faces in Chapter 4.\
McShane has confirmed that he will reprise his role as Winston, a former hitman who runs an underground assassin training school called The Continental. In the first three films, he was one of Wick’s mentors and helped him out with advice on how to survive in this violent world.\
Fishburne will play The Bowery King, another character from the first three movies who helps out Wick whenever he needs it (and sometimes when he doesn’t). In Chapter 1: John Wick (2014),
it was revealed that The Bowery King used to work with Viggo Tarasov (Michael Nyqvist) before going into retirement after losing his wife during one of their jobs together–but now he’s back!
